Soon Abhay leaves Aaliya too, because she is selfish. Aaliya gets an opportunity to work in a movie and signs the contract without telling her mother, thereby enraging her. Abhay and Aaliya's mother, Ayesha ( Sharmila Tagore) come for Aaliya's graduation. Aaliya finishes acting school and Abhay's father finds out about his restaurant. Aaliya and Abhay slowly become friends again.
Abhay opens a restaurant and it becomes a big hit. Abhay gets paranoid and comes to Australia, annoying Aaliya because she feels he doesn't trust her and they break up. She then moves into a bungalow where a bunch of young people live for cheap. She goes to Australia where she has to live with her strict aunt. An opportunity comes for Aaliya to go to Australia for acting school which she takes. Eventually Abhay and Aaliya start dating but Aaliya does not want to marry. Abhay likes cooking but his father wants him to take care of his business. Aaliya has always loved acting, since her mother is an actor. After the song, the teachers let them win the Shakespearewallah competition, Tariq and Nandy finally realize that they're in love, and Aishwarya recovers and decides to marry Sam, as she truly loves him.Ībhay Gulati ( Imran Khan) and Aaliya Khan ( Deepika Padukone) have been friends since childhood. The three friends then participate in their school play, though after they realize what going to school has done to their miserable lives, instead of performing classic Romeo and Juliet, the three and the rest of their friends perform their own frequencey, by the song "Antenna". He takes her to the hospital with Tariq and Nandy, and she falls into coma. She starts crying and runs out, though when Sam chases after her, he reveals a shock only to find that Aishwarya has been hit by a car. Sam gets fed up with all this tension, and starts to argue with Aishwarya.
Mark's School starts a Shakespearewallah play, and Sam gets the lead role as "Romeo". Two police inspectors record Sam holding drugs, though the drugs actually belonged to the police, and were trying to blackmail Sam into paying them 50,000 rupees. The story then moves onto Sam mostly, who throws a party at strip-club "Hell Fire", which is later raided and Sam is arrested. The next two friends, Tariq ( Satyajeet Dubey) and Nandy (Zoa Morani), who love to fight and argue with eachother, though the two never realize they are actually in love. Aishwarya is a new student who befriends Sam on her first day, and the two fall in love first sight. First teenager, Shortcut Sam ( Ali Fazal) the cool guy, who falls in love with Aishwarya ( Giselli Monteiro). Lways Kabhi Kabhi focuses on 4 students and their struggle through their final year at St Mark's School.
